The frame is rosewood, steam-bent into a continuous line that carries the sitter's weight without visible structure, so the engineering disappears into the silhouette.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe leather is original and has done what good hide does over six decades: softened, deepened in color, taken the shape of use.
