Our Story

Sojourn Vintage is a design studio and vintage furniture house built on the belief that enduring design made across all cultures and centuries deserves to be preserved and celebrated. It is the work of Natalie Warne and Ameesh Maru, a husband-and-wife team of collectors and artists who source locally as well as abroad. They choose by hand the rare and inspiring furniture, art, and objects that become their muses, each bringing a story into the home it reaches next.

For more than fifteen years Natalie built a career in human rights advocacy while sourcing, restoration, and design ran quietly alongside it, a private practice of creative expression that became a collection long before it became a business. Ameesh’s life has held the same duality: a public career in business and technology beside a lifetime of artistry in ceramics, music, and photography. This multidisciplinary path was woven into them through their families. They were raised among carpenters and photographers, musicians and activists, collectors, educators, and small business owners, two families from vastly different cultures who held the same regard for craftsmanship and the long work of building something that lasts. This foundation shaped who Natalie and Ameesh are today and the spaces they create.

Sojourn Vintage operates online from a private studio nestled in the hills of Mount Washington, Los Angeles, with viewings available by appointment. The year ahead brings new collections and international sourcing trips, with several projects already underway.
