Antique Hand-carved Lobi Stool
Made by the Lobi people of Burkina Faso in the mid-1900s and originally used as headrests. Each headrest was hand-carved from a single block of wood with a
braided leather rope attached for carrying.
The beautiful craftsmanship has developed a rich patina over time. Each stool's minimalistic yet versatile design makes it perfect as an accent stool or simply displayed as a sculptural piece of art.
Whether your interior aesthetics be Contemporary, Wabi-Sabi, Mid-Century Modern, Global Eclectic, or Rustic Farmhouse to name a few, these Lobi Stools will elevate and enrich any space.

Stool dimensions: L 18” • W 3.25” • H 6.75”
Due to the handmade and organic shape of the Nupe Table, the measurements are based on the longest, widest, and tallest point of the table. A detailed video of the item is available upon request.
This piece is in excellent vintage condition. Wear is consistent with age and use.

You will choose how you would like to receive your piece at checkout. After every purchase we will email you within two business days to begin coordinating. Timelines for pickup, delivery, and shipping vary by piece and by destination, and we will confirm those with you directly.
Pickup: Available by appointment in Mount Washington, Los Angeles 90065. After your order is placed, we will email the exact address and coordinate a time.
Furniture: Arrange your own mover, or we will send recommendations for trusted third-party delivery companies serving Los Angeles. For destinations outside Southern California, many of our customers have used U-Ship. Delivery companies are third-party and independent of Sojourn Vintage. Quotes, scheduling, liability, and payment are handled directly with them. Delivery costs are not included in your Sojourn Vintage order total.
Smalls and decor: We coordinate packing and shipping. We will contact you with the final cost, which is paid before your piece ships and is not included in your Sojourn Vintage order total. Local customers can choose pickup for smalls and decor.
