Condition · Great condition, wear consistent with age. Structurally sound and stable throughout, with both seats freshly reupholstered by the previous owner.

The scrolled iron bench came out of French and Italian workshops as a piece for the spaces between rooms, long enough to seat two beneath a window or across the foot of a bed and light enough to be carried wherever it was wanted. The vocabulary held steady wherever it was made: a rolled arm turning through a full circle, a ball finial at every terminal, and an X-stretcher below holding the frame square.

These two match across every element, from the diameter of the arm scrolls to the placement of the finials and the sweep of the splayed legs, which is exactly what makes a pair worth more than two benches. The green is hand-painted and has settled into a soft mottled depth.

Both seats were reupholstered by their previous owner. At forty-five inches each they hold a wall properly, and they take a covered porch as readily as an entry.

You will choose how you would like to receive your piece at checkout. After every purchase we will email you within two business days to begin coordinating. Timelines for pickup, delivery, and shipping vary by piece and by destination, and we will confirm those with you directly.

Pickup: Available by appointment in Mount Washington, Los Angeles 90065. After your order is placed, we will email the exact address and coordinate a time.

Furniture: Delivery is arranged and paid for by the customer. You choose, book and pay the mover or carrier directly. We can send names of companies other customers have used, provide any specs you need, and coordinate the handoff. Many customers shipping outside Southern California use U-Ship. Movers and carriers are third-party and independent of Sojourn Vintage — quotes, scheduling, liability and payment are handled directly with them. Delivery costs are not included in your Sojourn Vintage order total.

Smalls and decor: We coordinate packing and shipping. We will contact you with the final cost, which is paid before your piece ships and is not included in your Sojourn Vintage order total. Local customers can choose pickup for smalls and decor.
