Condition: Excellent condition. Structurally sound and stable throughout. The iron legs carry a deep, variegated patina built up over decades, with the natural variation in tone that only comes with age. Light surface marks to the glass, consistent with use.

A studio glassmaker in the 1970s worked this top by a method that cannot be repeated exactly twice. The glass was brought to working temperature over an open mold and allowed to fall through the center under its own weight, then cooled quickly to hold the shape. What forms is a lens: a flat perimeter dropping away to a deep concave well, with the ripple of that movement fixed permanently in the surface.

It reads as an eye carried on four slim iron legs carry it at coffee-table height. Light gathers in the well and refracts out through the rippled edge, so the table shifts through the day with whatever sits above and below it. We sourced it from the original owners, who knew the glassmaker.

You will choose how you would like to receive your piece at checkout. After every purchase we will email you within two business days to begin coordinating. Timelines for pickup, delivery, and shipping vary by piece and by destination, and we will confirm those with you directly.

Pickup: Available by appointment in Mount Washington, Los Angeles 90065. After your order is placed, we will email the exact address and coordinate a time.

Furniture: Arrange your own mover, or we will send recommendations for trusted third-party delivery companies serving Los Angeles. For destinations outside Southern California, many of our customers have used U-Ship. Delivery companies are third-party and independent of Sojourn Vintage. Quotes, scheduling, liability, and payment are handled directly with them. Delivery costs are not included in your Sojourn Vintage order total.

Smalls and decor: We coordinate packing and shipping. We will contact you with the final cost, which is paid before your piece ships and is not included in your Sojourn Vintage order total. Local customers can choose pickup for smalls and decor.
